To the first, second, third and fourth articles hee cannot answer, not<br />
being in the voyage nor knowing ought thereof.

received or is promissed ought for his deposition in this cause, nor<br />
doth hee expect ought, And touching his worth in estate hee<br />

To the third article of the said allegations<br />
hee saith and<br />
deposeth that hee well knew the way the ''Primrose'' arlate<br />
for the space of tenn yeares or thereabouts next before this<br />
voyage in question, and that for the fitting and<br />
preparing her for the said voyage in question hee this deponent<br />
(being a shipp wright) whrought upon her at Ipswich and<br />
did fitt her for the same, as hee had donne severall yeares and<br />
times before, and well knoweth that shee was the said voyage<br />
very tight, strong and sufficient for merchants service and<br />
for the said voyage, yea as strong, and tight and sufficient as<br />
could be desired, and with not any defect or cause of [?XXXXX], of<br />
which sufficiencie hee is very able to Judge, having bin a shippwright<br />
