To the said allegation hee saith and deposeth that hee well knoweth<br />
the vessell the ''Saint Julian'' of Brest in question and well knoweth<br />
the producentes James de Cornovaille and John de Mescham and<br />
well knew ffloran de Cornovaille who is lately dead, and saith<br />
they were and the said James and John are the owners of the said shipp<br />
and for such commonly accounted, and ffrenchmen and subiects of the<br />
kinge of ffrance, and caused the said vessell to be built at<br />
Brest, and this deponent sawe part of the wood and timber<br />
(imployed in the said building) furnished from the Lordshipp of the<br />
said Messieurs de Cornovaille, called kerineau, and sawe the<br />
said vessell in building at Brest by their order, whereof hee<br />
tooke notice being a mariner and frequenting that part, and<br />
saith the said producents fitted and sett her out on this present voyage<br />
(which hee saith is her first voyage) and the said James and ffloran<br />
de Cornovaille Sieur de kerineau came alonge in her as owners<br />
for this port of London, where the said ffloran is since dead. And<br />
saith the freight of the said vessell belongeth to the said owners, and<br />
hee beleaveth that noe other person whatsoever hath any interest<br />
therein. And otherwise hee cannot depose.
