To the first hee saith hee cometh required by Mr Warner to be<br />
a witnesse in this cause, wherein hee saith hee hath noe share<br />
nor interest, nor will it be benefit or losse to him which side soever<br />
prevailes or be overthrowne therein and otherwise negatively.
To the second hee saith hee was at Virginia all the while the said<br />
shipp was there, this deponent going over in her, and attending<br />
her all the while shee was there, this deponent being specially<br />
imployed by Mr Warner to see the said articles performed; only hee<br />
saith that about two dayes before her departure from Yorke River for<br />
London, the said Watson (loath that this deponent should [?come ?home]<br />
with him) taking occasion to quarrell with this deponent, hee<br />
this deponent left her, howbeit hee sawe all the lading shee<br />
tooke in and sawe her depart, and goe out of the Rivers<br />
mouth for London, and this deponent sawe the rest of the<br />
tobaccoes which were readie, and tendred to the said Watson to be<br />
laden (being about 150 hogsheads) retourned into Storehouses, upon<br />
her departure besides hee knoweth that there were neere 500 hogsheads more<br />
readie in the countrie which were tendred him and offered to be sent<br />
downe to him to be laden, but hee could not take them in, hee<br />
being quite full with what hee had already taken in. And otherwise hee<br />
cannot answer saving as aforesaid.
