To the 21th article and the fourth schedul … To the 21th article and the fourth schedule annexed beginning and<br />
ending as is arlate and nowe showne unto him, hee saith and deposeth<br />
that hee beleeveth the charges in the matters arlate have and will amount<br />
to at least 600 ''li'' sterling, namely chardges before the shipping of the<br />
said goods from Ligorne for London, and hee beleeveth the contents<br />
of the said schedule to be true, and the things therein mentioned to be<br />
soe had and donne as thereon is cpmtained. And otherwise hee cannpot<br />
depose, saving hee beleeveth the chardges of the rest of the goods<br />
not sent when the accompt or note was made, did and will amount<br />
unto neere about 100 ''li'' sterling more/
To the 22th hee saith that the said noates and letters arlate<br />
were sent from the said George Norleigh and company,<br />
to the said Alderman ffrederick and others aforesaid, and by them<br />
received, and hee beleeveth all the contents thereof to be true<br />
and saith they the said Norleigh and company have drawne bills<br />
of exchange upon the said freighters for the payment of all or<br />
the most part of the summes mentioned in the said severall notes,<br />
which have bin accepted by the said freighters and by them paid<br />
of this deponents knowledge, who paid the sad moneys for<br />
them. And otherwise hee cannot depose.
To the 27th hee saith that the said hughes was hired by the<br />
moneth, and had orders from the said imployers not to stay for any<br />
convoy, but to come directly for London, which hee knoweth<br />
because hee copied out the orders that were given him to that<br />
purpose. And otherwise hee cannot depose saving as aforesaid.
Top the 28 article and the 6th schedule annexed nowe showed him hee saith and deposeth<br />
that the said schedule was received in Londonm by the said Alderman ffrederick<br />
and others aforesaid as written unto them from the said George<br />
hughes or by his order, and that the said receipt was in or about<br />
the 11th of October 1652, as on the back thereof is to be seene<br />
And otherwie hee cannot depose.
To the 33th hee saith that (as hee beleeveth) the said George hughes<br />
with the ''Thomas Bonadventure'' might have come away for<br />
England in or about december 1652, the port Longomne (as per advise) not<br />
being then blocked up. And otherwise hee cannot depose.
To the 35th hee saith that in the moneth of January 1652, there<br />
was a shipp that was freighted by the said Alderman<br />
ffrederick and others aforesaid named the ''John and Conrard''<br />
at Genuoa, (as by advise thence which this deponent hath seene<br />
was manifested) and that there shee continued somtime after, and that<br />
during her aboade there, the goods of the said Alderman<br />
ffrederick and others were often demannded by the said<br />
George Norleigh their factor of and from the said George hughes<br />
that they might be sent home in the said shipp the ''John and''<br />
''Conrard'' for England, but that the said hughes would not nor<br />
did deliver the same unto him before the moneth of September<br />
