with his this deponents friggat board and board with the said shipp ''Saint George'' in<br />
the said roade of Cadiz, and saith hee this deponent with his said Vessell<br />
the ''Swan'' departed from Cadiz leaving the said shipp the ''Saint George'' receiving on<br />
her lading there, And deposeth, That during this deponents residence at Cadiz<br />
in the yeare as aforesaid hee never heard any common voyce, report or rumour<br />
that the said shipp ''Saint George'' was with her then lading designed for any<br />
other place then Ostend or dunquirke in fflanders neither did hee then<br />
and there or at any time before or since ever heare any credible report<br />
or fame that the said shipp the ''Saint George'' did belong unto Amsterdam<br />
or any inhabityants there or subject or subjects or the States of the United<br />
Netherlands, neither that shee was then bound or designed for Amsterdam.<br />
And further hee cannot depose./
To the last hee saith his foregoeing deposition is true./

To the first hee saith hee is a hamburgher by birth, and education, and<br />
hath had his fixed residence there from his infancie, And saith hee never<br />
had any part or share in the shipp the ''Saint George'' interrate, nor any relation of<br />
kindred or service and to the said John Martens dorpe nor to any of the Owners<br />
of the shipp interrate:-
To the second hee saith hee is a Mariner by profession, and hath for all the time<br />
interrate, as is predeposed, had his settled place of aboade at Hamburgh and saith hee<br />
hath in the time interrate been onely once at Amsterdam in the yeare 1653. last past where hee then remained<br />
for about eight daies, and saith That within the time interrate this deponent never<br />
saw the said shipp at either of the places interrate.
To the third hee saith, That the name of the Master shippwright , who built the<br />
said shipp the ''Saint George'' was Joachim Moller a Citizen of hamburgh, but<br />
remembreth not the names of his the said Mollers servants and assistants therein<br />
neither did this rendent ever see any moneys payd for or towards the building of<br />
the said shipp./:-
To the 4th hee saith hee this rendent doeth not know, nor hath ever heard<br />
that any Amsterdammer or other subject or subjects of the States of the<br />
United Netherlands have caused any shipp or shipps to be built at hamborough<br />
for such the said hollanders use or accompt./:-
To the 5th hee saith, That hee this rendent was, as aforesaid, at Cadiz<br />
interrate in the yeare <u>1652.</u> arlate, and came thither three times in that<br />
yeare, and saith the last time in that yeare, that this rendent was therem was<br />
about the beginning of the moneth of September, and departed thence<br />
in the moneth of October then next ensuing./
