Scrivener aged 28 yeares or thereabouts a wittness<br />
sworne and examined saith and deposeth as followeth<br />
videlicet
To the first article hee saith the arlate Keech was in the yeare 1653 arlate<br />
and moneths therein concurring commonly accompted to be Master of the<br />
arlate shipp the ''Minories'' and did of this deponents knowledge exercise the<br />
Command of her as master of her And further saving his subsequent<br />
deposition hee cannot depose./
To the 2: and 3 articles hee saith that in or about the moneths of August and<br />
September 1653 the arlate henry Askettle did cause to be delivered<br />
unto the arlate Keeche and one Richard ffernes (who was<br />
reputed a Part Owner and husband of the sayd vessell or shipp the ''Minories'')<br />
and for the use of the sayd shipp divers goods, videlicet pitch, tarr, roapes, deales and<br />
other goods amounting in all to the value of eight pounds nynteene shillings<br />
two pence sterling money, which they the sayd Keeche and ffernes bought of<br />
the sayd Ashkettle for the use of the sayd shipp This hee the better knoweth<br />
for that hee this deponent did enter the particulers thereof into the booke of the sayd<br />
Ashkettle as the same was upon severall dayes fetcht away by<br />
the sayd ffernes and Keeche or others by their order, and alsoe for that hee<br />
did write out of the sayd booke a bill of all the particulers soe delivered<br />
amounting to the summe aforesayd, and delivered the same to the sayd ffernes<br />
who acknowledged before this deponent that hee had receaved all<br />
the particulers therein specified for the use of the sayd shipp,<br />
and acknowledged the sayd bill<br />
to be true as to the particulers and values therein conteyned, And further to<br />
these articles hee cannot depose./
To the 4th hee saith hee referreth him selfe to the Registrie of this court<br />
