as Master shee then lyeing in the Port of … as Master shee then lyeing in the Port of dunquirke upon a merchandizing designe and<br />
having newly taken in there a ladeing of goods to be transported thence to<br />
this Port of London this hee the better knoweth being one of the Company of<br />
the sayd vessell and then on board her And further to this article hee cannot depose/
To the 2 and 3 articles of the sayd allegation hee saith that in the tyme arlate<br />
the sayd vessell lying at dunquirke as is predeposed in a peaceable manner<br />
upon a tradeing designe and being laden with goods bound for this Port of<br />
London as is predeposed shee and her ladeing were by the officers of the<br />
Governor of dunquirke (and by order from the King of Spaine (as they<br />
affirmed) seized and taken from the arlate ffordam and Company and<br />
the sayd ffordham and Company utterly dispoiled thereof and the sayd ffordam<br />
and his Mariners (whereof this deponent was one) turned out of her and<br />
and forced to seeke their passage for England at their owne Cost and charges<br />
this hee knoweth for the reasons aforesayd And hee saith the sayd shipp<br />
and her tackle Apparrell and furniture at such her seizure were<br />
well worth two hundred and fiftie pounds sterling and this deponent<br />
verily beleeveth and is perswaded in his conscience that the freight<br />
which the Owners of the sayd vessell were to have had and receaved in case<br />
shee had not bin soe seized but had come to this Port of London with<br />
her sayd ladeing on board her would have amounted to the summe of<br />
one hundred pounds sterling And further to these articles hee cannot depose/
To the 4th hee saith that hee well knoweth being one of the sayd shipps<br />
company that at the tyme of the seizure of the ''Sarah'' arlate the arlate<br />
ffordam and his mariners had goods on board her for their perticuler<br />
Accompts worth a hundred and three score pounds sterling, all which<br />
they were spoiled and deprived of by reason the same were seized and taken<br />
away by the Officers of the Governor of dunquirke aforesayd who seized<br />
the same by order of the King of Spaine as they avered and pretended And<br />
further to this article hee cannot depose/
To the 5th hee saith hee knoweth that the arlate James ffordam and<br />
his Mariners have by losse of their wages and in their charges to get<br />
passage home and losse of imployment untill their arrivall at home<br />
sufficient dammage to the value of a hundred and thirty pounds<br />
sterling in this deponent Judgment and estimate And further to this<br />
article hee cannot depose/
To the 6th hee saith hee beleeveth the sayd ffordam and Company Owners<br />
of the ''Sarah'' did laye out for victualling, and setting out the sayd shipp on<br />
the voyage arlate, a considerable summe at least threescore pounds sterling<br />
as this deponent verily beleeveth, And further hee cannot deposey beleeveth, And further hee cannot depose +
