steer for the English coast, and that as hee this deponent understood<br />
from the Stiersman and other Navigtors of the shipp the said course<br />
for the English coast (the winde and weather considered) was the most<br />
commodious course for the said shipp being bound for Cadiz<br />

To the first hee saith hee hath also a bale of linnen in the said<br />
shipp for his owne accompt, without marke, wjhich hee bought with<br />
Spanish wine that hee brought from Middleborowe, alsoe 33 peeces<br />
of pictures or liming worke, 8 looking glasses, a chest of East India [?hornes],<br />
three baggs of pepper, and 3 baggs of cloves, a barrell of gumme, 22<br />
rolls and one hogshead of tobacco, twelve dozen of knives, five<br />
tonnes of tobacco pipes, and a hamper of haberdasherie, containing<br />
tweesars, the release whereof will be advantagious to him, soe it bee<br />
speedie.
To the second hee saith hee cometh required by his precontest the master<br />
of the said shipp, to testifie in this cause, and otherwise negatively.
To the third hee referreth himselfe to his foregoeing deposition and cannot<br />
otherwise depose.
To the 4th hee hath not soe deposed.

Nrth west and by North, and as was most convenient for them (respect<br />
being had to the winde and weather) for their designed port of Cadiz,<br />
