hee beleeveth the other goods of other markes mentioned in the<br />
said bills to be the reall goods and laden for the accompt of the said Jeronimo<br />
Nunez da Costa, And otherwise hee cannot depose.
To the twelveth article of the said allegation hee saith and deposeth that hee<br />
well knoweth that the producents Jeronimo Nunez da Costa, duarte<br />
dias da Paz, diego ffernandez Lemos, and Simon and Lewis Rodriguez<br />
da Sousa, have lived eight yeares or thereabouts in Amsterdam and<br />
the said da Costa and da Paz more, which hee knoweth his said master<br />
Mr Boeve and since hee this deponent corresponding with them as<br />
there living for all that time, and receiving dispatches from them thence<br />
and saith the arlate diego Perez Caminho and diego Barazzo and<br />
Andrew and Christofer Nunez doe alsoe dwell at Amsterdam, and<br />
hee really beleeveth that all the forenamed persons are<br />
subiects of the Lords the States of the United Netherlands and Burgers of Amsterdam for that<br />
they are both in the foresaid attestations and [?procurations]<br />
taken notice of in that qualitie and as marchants of that place,<br />
and for and as such as aforesaid they were and are commonly accompted<br />
and reputed, And otherwise hee cannot depose.
To the 13th hee cannot depose saving as aforesaid, referring himselfe<br />
to his foregoing deposition./
To the last hee saith his foregoing deposition was and is true.

To the first hee saith hee is a merchant<br />
of this citie, where hee hath dwelt theise fourteene yeares last past, and<br />
that hee is in noe relation of kindred or service to any of the producents<br />
nor hath hee as hee saith any share or interest in the goods in question<br />
nor was in or belonging to the ''Thirstie hart'' at the time of her seizure<br />
nor at any other time.
To the second hee saith hee hath knowne the said Jeronimo Nunez da Costa<br />
by Correspondence theise eight or nine yeares last, and duarte diaz da<br />
Paz, diego ffernandez de Lemos and Simon and Lewes Rodriguez for the like<br />
time, and the rest of the said claimers for foure or five monethes,<br />
and beleeveth they have dwelt all of them for many yeares in Amsterdam<br />
saving the said Manoell Martinus Madina who liveth in lisbone.<br />
and otherwise hee cannot answer saving as aforesaid.
To the third hee saith hee never sawe any of the persons interrogated<br />
and otherwise saving his foregoing deposition to which hee referreth himselfe<br />
hee cannot depose.
To the fourth hee saith hee was not in the voyage nor at lisbone, and<br />
therefore cannot say ought to the buying of the goods in question, nor to<br />
the other matters interrogated, saving hee referreth<br />
himselfe to his foregoing deposition.
To the fifth hee referreth himselfe to the said bills of lading and<br />
to his foregoing deposition and otherwise cannot answer, saving his foregoing<br />
deposition, hee not being in the voyage, nor knowing ought of the buying or<br />
providing the goods in question.
