To the 7th hee saith that the oysters which hee this deponent brought<br />
out of Essex were bought with the money of him and others then<br />
tennants of ffeversham hundred and mannor and not catched<br />
by this deponent or any of the sayd tennants in the sea or where others may ffish or knoweth hee of<br />
any oysters brought into the grounds in question save what were<br />
brought with the money of the sayd Tennants And further cannot<br />
answere./
To the 8th Interrogatorie hee saith there are divers other ffish beside oysters taken in the<br />
places in question and saith hee beleeveth others besides the ffishermen<br />
of ffevershamd doe sometymes catch fish upon the places in question<br />
for that hee hath knowne that some ffishermen of Barkeing<br />
have bin taken for soe doeing and questioned for the same by the Tennants of ffeversham aforesayd and<br />
punished as trespassers and have acknowledged their offence<br />
and promised not to offend in the like kinde And further hee<br />
cannot answere, saving his foregoeing deposition/
To the 9th hee saith hee neither knoweth nor hath heard of any<br />
such thing as is Interrogate./

of Kent gentleman where hee hath lived for these three or<br />
fower and thirty yeares last past borne at Ospringe neere<br />
ffeversham aforesayd aged nyne and fiftie yeares or there<br />
abouts a wittnes sworne and examined saith and deposeth as<br />
followeth videlicet
To the sayd allegation in the Acts of Court hee saith that there have bin<br />
and are certayne ffishing grounds and water courses belonging to the mannor and hundred of<br />
ffeversham called by the names of harty shoare or the Nebb and East Swale<br />
and the [?Bearam] grounds and Nesse grounds and Pollard grounds which are<br />
fishing grounds and water courses wherein are bedds of oysters, which grounds and water courses for that hee<br />
hath seene certaine evidence and aunchient records expressing soe much hee knoweth have<br />
tyme out of mynde and memory of man belonged to and bin part<br />
of the mannor and hundred of ffeversham and soe generally reputed<br />
and saith hee hath seene alsoe a writing or conveyance<br />
wherein the sayd ground and watercourses were cnveyed to Sir dudley diggs late Master<br />
of the Rolls as part of the mannor and hundred of ffeversham, and<br />
liberty therein grannted to him and the tennants ffishermen of the sayd<br />
