County of Surry Mariner, aged<br />
about 52ty yeares a wittnes produced<br />
and sworne and being examined he deposeth<br />
as followeth.
To the first article of the allegation he deposeth and saith<br />
that the shipp the ''Truroe frigott'' arlate was laden with<br />
salt at [?Burucarse] in ffrance about the time arlate for the<br />
accompt of the arlate Thomas Rawlinson and the rest of the<br />
Owners of the said shipp (except John Tayler, who did not<br />
lade his part) and that the said shipp with her said lading of<br />
salt did safely arrive in the month of September 1654 at<br />
ffalmouth, where he the deponent did deliver the said salt by<br />
and according to the order and directions of the rest of the<br />
Owners to the arlate Edward Nosworthy, and his Agents,<br />
and that the said Nosworthy sould the same salt for about<br />
1000 ''li'', and that thereof the arlate Thomas Rawlinson had<br />
a 32th part, as alsoe hee had a 32th part of the said shipp The<br />
premisses he deposeth being Master of her the said voyage<br />
and a part Owner of her, and present at Bur[?nesse] in ffrance<br />
at the lading of the said salt, and present at ffalmouth at<br />
the delivery thereof to the said Nosworthy and his Agents, and<br />
being well acquainted with every man that had any part in<br />
the said shipp and her lading, And further he cannot depose.
To the second article he deposeth that the arlate shipp the<br />
''Truroe'' sett sayle from ffalmouth in November 1654 with<br />
her lading of pilchers for the accompt of the arlate Thomas<br />
Rawlinson and others the Owners of her (except the sayd John Tayler) and arrived in January last past at Alligant<br />
and thence went to Leghorne and thence to Naples, at which<br />
place the said pilchers were by severall parcells sold by the<br />
arlate henry Gregory the arlate Nosworthy his servant for<br />
the accompt of the arlate Rawlinson and others the Owners<br />
of the said shipp (except the sayd John Tayler) and that<br />
the sayd Thomas Rawlinson had and hath a sixteenth<br />
part in the said pilchers and the proceed thereof The premisses<br />
he deposeth being the Commander and a part Owner of the said<br />
shipp the said voyage and well knowing what part or share [?each]<br />
man had in both shipp and lading And further he cannot<br />
depose.
To the third article of the sayd allegation he deposeth and saith<br />
that the shipp arlate did arrive in this port of London in [?JXXX]<br />
1655, and that after her arrivall here the arlate Skinner,<br />
hallett and the arlate Henry Gregory servant of the arlate<br />
Edward Nosworthy did send for him the deponent unto the [?Bell]<br />
