buying, providing and lading of the said E … buying, providing and lading of the said Eight<br />
bales of Linnen aboard the said shipp, and with<br />
the said letter did receive an Invoyce of the cost of<br />
the said Linnens, and that the Invoyce now by him<br />
seene and perused and remayning in the Registry<br />
of this Court he saith is (as he verily beleiveth)<br />
the very same Invoyce which he the deponent saw<br />
in the hands of the sayd de Aranguren, he the deponent<br />
being very well acquainted with the handwryting<br />
therof, And further he cannot depose.
To the nineth article he deposeth and saith that he<br />
having seene soe many Letters that the said woolls<br />
were the proper goods of the sayd Melchior de<br />
Aranguren, is therby induced to beleive that the said eight<br />
bales of Linnen being the proceed of the said wools<br />
are the proper goods of him the sayd Melchior<br />
and that he and noe other person doth runne the sole<br />
hazard and adventure thereof, And further he<br />
cannot depose.
To the tenth he deposeth and saith That the said<br />
de Aranguren the producent did about a fortnight<br />
before any newes came that the shipp arlate was<br />
taken and seized till this deponent that he had received<br />
advise that the sayd shipp wa sett sayle from<br />
haverdegrace towards Cadiz, And further he cannot<br />
depose.
To the eleaventh article he deposeth and saith That the<br />
arlate Aranguren the producent is a Spaniard<br />
borne (as he hath heard and beleiveth) in Biscay<br />
and is a Subiect to the king of Spayne, And that<br />
of this deponents knowledge he the sayd Aranguren<br />
hath resided here in London in the Nature or condition<br />
of a Merchant for about fower yeares last past, And<br />
further he cannot depose.
To the last he saith his former deposition is true./

at Plymouth in the County of Devon, and that he never<br />
