To the first hee saith hee never head nor pretended to have any part<br />

Mariner aged 20. yeares or thereabouts a<br />
Wittnesse sworne and examined saith as followeth<br />
videlicet:-
To the first article hee saith and deposeth, That hee this deponent was<br />
knew the said shipp the ''Charitie'' whereof the arlate Robert harrigate<br />
Mariner or Commander in the yeares <u>1651.</u> and <u>1652.</u> last past and<br />
sailed in and served aboard her as a Mariner and servant to the said Robert<br />
harrigate both in the voiage and at the seizure in question, and for severall<br />
Voiages before, by meanes whereof hee knoweth, and hath constantly<br />
heard and understood that one Mr James Cole of New-Castle<br />
Thomas Potts and Thomas henderson of the same together with the said Master<br />
and another man (whose name hee knoweth not) living at Bowe neere<br />
London were and ought to bee the true and Lawfull Owners and<br />
Proprietors of the said shipp and of her Tackle apparrell and furniture<br />
and for such they were commonly knowne and observed to bee soe long<br />

fraight to one Mr harvey a Merchant of Waxford in Ireland<br />
for the space of 6. monethes to be imployed to Saint Sebastians in Spaine<br />
or any other free Port or Ports according to the said harveys<br />
direction, and the said shipp having accordingly sailed to Saint Sebastians<br />
