To the first hee saith hee cometh to declare the trueth as a Wittnesse in this<br />
Court by the Command of his said Master Mr Lewis Biker, and that hee<br />
hath no manner of interest in or relation to the parties litigant in this<br />
Cause, nor in the shipp of goods in Contoversie nor any other that ever were laden in<br />
the said hoy:-
To the second hee saith hee doeth not knowe the interrrate Brandlin<br />
nor doeth hee remember that hee ever saw him with the interrate<br />
Camplaine or otherwise./
To the third negatively fo his part:-
To the 4th hee saith hee hath heard a flying report that the said hoy and<br />
goods aforesaid were cast away by a storme, but saith that afterwards<br />
the said rumour was contradicted, and that it was reported constantly that the<br />
said Marsh had runn away with the said goods, and sold and<br />
disposed of them in the parts beyond the seas:-

The deposition and answer of the said '''harman'''<br />
'''Goris''' to the further Interrogatories ministred<br />
on his highnesse behalfe.
To the first hee saith the said shipp the ''hare in the ffeild'' sett saile<br />
from haver de Grace on the fifteenth day (New Stile) of this<br />
instant May, and was the same night about eleaven of the clock<br />
in the night taken by the ''Tyger'' and the ''drake'' or ''dragon frigotts''<br />
in the service of this Commonwealth, and saith hee doth not knowe<br />
that there were any bills of lading signed or filled up after the said shipps setting<br />
saile or comming out to sea from the said port of haver de Grace, or<br />
of any bills or writings, hidd, burnt, torne throwne over board or<br />
otherwise made away or concealed.
To the second hee saith hee hath knowne the said Master John Kein<br />
about 5 weekes, and last sawe him as this deponent was<br />
comming into doctors Commons about halfe an hower since, at which time<br />
this deponent was staid for, and that they had not then any other speech or<br />
discourse with each other, nor hath this deponent either with the said<br />
kein or any other person had any speech or conference, [?XXXX] or what<br />
not what they should answer upon their examinations.
