inaudibly heard and believeth it to be her … inaudibly heard and believeth it to be here that this sayd shipp shipps in their Course<br />
to Ostend was seized by some of the shipps of this Comonwealth and that the<br />
sayd moneyes playte and sylver were then aboard the same respectively and [Xaun]<br />
into the petiton of the Captaines who made the seizures respectively And<br />
otherwise he cannot depose.
To the seventh article of the sayd allegation This deponent saith that the sayd Dominick<br />
Marten doth alone [Xanne] the 'hazard' and 'Avenhune' of the sayd severall quantityes<br />
and barrs of sylver, and peices of [??] beforementioned, And that [nue] hollander<br />
or any other fabioul of the status of the united Provinces ffrench King or<br />
any other Prince of State in hostility with the Comonwealth of England<br />
hath any right or interest in the same or any part thereof which he knoweth<br />
for the reasons predeposed. And further cannot depose
To the eight article of the sayd allegation and to the three bills of lading exhibited in<br />
this cause and [?annexed] to the allegation this deponent saith that the sayd<br />
three bills of lading were shewne to and [peXXf/sed] by him this Examinal<br />
were and are three of the sayd originall Bills of lading which this<br />
deponent saw signed for the sayd moneyes plate and sylver by the sayde<br />
Christian Cleppenbergh, Otto George and John [?Martinsdorp] respectively<br />
as aforesayd. And saith the sayd bills are true and weall and the contents<br />
thereof so had and done as therein is contayned, and are not coloutable<br />
which he knoweth haven't seene the same signed and being privy to all the<br />
[] as he hath [?previously] deposed. And otherwise cannot depose.
To the ninth article of the sayd allegation this deponent saith that the arlate<br />
John de Witt Jasperson severally named in the sayd bills of lading (as the<br />
person to whom the consignement is made of the sayd silver and moneyes<br />
in the absence of Dominick Martin) was and is a native of Limerick in Ireland<br />
and was att the tyme of lading the sayd sylver and moneyes the factor or Agent<br />
of the sayd Dominick Martin, and so hath beene for some tyme before and<br />
since, and saith that the sayd John de Witt Jasperson had not nor hath any<br />
property or interest in the sayd sylver and moneyes nor any part thereof<br />
all which this deponent knoweth peing like with a factor for ye sayd Dominick<br />
Martin and for the reasons predeposed. And further he cannot deposes predeposed. And further he cannot depose +
