twenty yeares or thereabouts, a witnes<br />
sworne and examined deposeth and saith<br />
as followeth. videlicet.
To the first second and third and fourth Articles of the sayd Allegation this<br />
deponent saith and deposeth That being att Sevill in the month<br />
of August 1652 in Companie with the arlate Hjeronimo<br />
Brudgmands, He the sayd Hjeronimo Brudgmans then told<br />
this deponent that he had laden aboard the arlate shipp the<br />
''Salvador'' whereof Christian Cloppenbergh was master att Cadiz four barrs of<br />
sylver of new Spaine for the accompt of himselfe and the arlate<br />
Christian Aelst his Correspondent and partner in trade, and did<br />
then and there shew this deponent a bill of lading signed by the<br />
sayd Christian Cloppenbergh for the same. And further saith<br />
that the sayd Hjeronimo Brudgmans afterward videlicet about the<br />
beginning of October 1652 meeting with this deponent att Cadiz<br />
did acquaint this deponent that he had some few dayes before<br />
laden aboard the sayd shipp the ''Salvador'' fifteen small baggs<br />
of sylver conteyning two hundred and fifty peices of eight in<br />
every of them; for the Accompt of himselfe and the Christian<br />
Aelst, And allso twelve baggs of peices of eight conteyning<br />
