To the fourth he saith and deposeth that the aforesayd Christian<br />
Cloppenbergh bought att the Port Santa Maria in Spaine the<br />
arlate three butts of sack more one marked with the first<br />
marke in the margent. another of the second marke in the<br />
margent, and another of the third marke in the margent, and<br />
putt the same aboard the shipp ''Salvador'' in the month of October<br />
aforesayd att Cadiz. And saith that after the same was so laden<br />
the arlate Mariners of the shipp ''Salvadores'' Company in the<br />
presence of this deponent contracted for and bought the sayd three<br />
butts of wyne of and from the sayd Christian Cloppenbergh. And saith<br />
that the sayd three butts of wyne were to be transported<br />
from Cadiz to Ostend for the Accompt and Risko of the sayd Mariners<br />
and were there to be disposed of by them, and saith they were<br />
and are the proper goods of the sayd Mariners as the true and<br />
lawfull Owners thereof for the reasons aforesayd And further<br />
hee cannot depose.

To the sixth and seventh he saith he hath knowne the arlate Christian<br />
Cloppenbergh for theis eight yeares and saith he is by common<br />
reputation a Hamburgher, and a Burgher and subiect of the<br />
free State of Hamburgh where he hath his wife and family and<br />
hath knowne the arlate John Roopke for theis six yeares during<br />
which tyme he hath lived in Sevill in Spaine as a merchant<br />
stranger, and is by common repute a Hamburgher borne and a<br />
subiect of the sayd free State of Hamburgh. And otherwise he<br />
cannot depose.
