To the sixth he saith that the arlate de la Sierpe for theise two yeares<br />
now past and upward hath bene a Correspondent of and with the sayd<br />
George Boschart and James Pincquet and hath dealt for them for and<br />
during the sayd tyme as a factor or Agent in the may of merchandizing<br />
of the certaine knowledge of this deponent being very intimat and<br />
well acquainted with him the sayd de la Sierpe. And further he cannot<br />
depose.
To the seventh article he saith he cannot depose.
To the eighth article he saith and deposeth that the articulat ffrancisco<br />
de la Sierpe told and acquainted this deponent att Cadize before the<br />
lading of the sylver articulat in manner as aforesayd, that he bought the<br />
sayd sylver of and from a Spanish merchant to and for the<br />
use and accompt of George Boschaert and James Pincquett articulat<br />
and that according to Order from them receyved for payment and<br />
satisfaction for the sayd sylver to be made to the merchant when<br />
the same was bought hhe had drawne Bills of Exchange upon Xill (sic)<br />
and Michael duissart (sic) merchants of Sevill in Spayne, And that the<br />
said Xill and Michael duissart were to draw the like Bills upon the<br />
arlate George Boeschart (sic) and James Pinquet to be payd att Antwerpe<br />
And this deponent hath understood by letters of advise out of fflanders<br />
that the sayd producents have payd and satisfyed the Bills of Exchange<br />
drawne upon them by the sayd Merchants of Sevill to the effect aforesayd<br />
And further he cannot depose saving that for the reasons prredeposed he<br />
verily beleiveth that the sylver in question doth solely belong to the<br />
producents and nnot to any dutchman subiect of the United Provinces<br />
or any ffrenchman or subiect of any Prince or State in hostility with<br />
this Commonwealth.
To the ninth he saith that the arlate ffrancisco de la Sierpe by a common repute<br />
is by birth a Dunkerker and for these fourteen yeares last or thereabouts this<br />
deponent hath knowne him an Inhabitant in Cadiz where he is accompted<br />
to be a subiect of the King of Spaine, and not of the States or the United Provinces<br />
ffrench King or any Prince or State in hostility with England. And<br />
further he cannot depose.
To the tenth he saith that the articulat Peter Lambs (sic) by common repute is a<br />
fflandrian borne and inhabited att Ostend, being a subiect of the<br />
King of Spaine and not of the States of the United Provinces, ffrench<br />
King or any Prince or State in hostility with this Commonwealth, and<br />
otherwise referring himselfe to his prceding depositions he cannot<br />
depose.
To the eleaventh he saith that the arlate James Pinquet is commonly reputed<br />
to be a fflandrian, by birth and to inhabite in Antwerpe, and the<br />
sayd George Boschart to be an Hamburgher by birth, And hath for these<br />
two yeares last lived att Antwerpe aforesayd, and for ten yeares<br />
and upwards before this deponent knew him to inhabite in<br />
Cadize arlate, for all which tyme he hath bene and now is a subiect<br />
of the King of Spaine; And the producents are both of them commonly<br />
accompted to be subiects of the sayd King, and not of the States of the<br />
United Provinces, the King of ffrance or any Prince or State in hostility<br />
with this Commonwealth and the producents are commonly accounted<br />
