silver, this deponent copying the said producents letters thereabouts, and<br />
afterwards seeing the letters of advice bills of lading and accompts sent from the said de la Sierpe<br />
(of and concerning the said lading) to the said producents, which accompts<br />
hee nowe leaveth for the information of this Court in the premisses.<br />
And otherwise hee cannot depose.
To the third article hee saith and deposeth that after and upon the said<br />
lading aforesaid of the said silver and plate the masters or Pursers thereof, as hee beleeveth signed<br />
bills of lading for the same, and that one of each of the said bills was<br />
aboard the said shipps at the time of the seizure as hee alsoe beleeveth<br />
having seene in the said ffrancis de la sierpe his said letters mention made<br />
of the sending of one of each thereof therein, and having since seene the<br />
said bills in this Court, whether the same are said to be brought upon the<br />
said seizure, And saith that the contents of the said bills were and<br />
are true and soe had and donne as therein is mentioned, which hee<br />
knoweth for the reasons aforesaid. And otherwise hee cannot depose.
To the fourth and fifth articles of the said allegation hee saith and<br />
deposeth that at or about the time of the lading of the said silver and<br />
plate aboard the said respective shipps, the said ffrancis de la Sierpe<br />
(by whom the same was laden) by himselfe or his servant or deputie<br />
by his order by letters advised the said producent Mr Boschaart<br />
that hee had laden all the said severall quantities of silver aboard<br />
the said shipps for the accompt and adventure of him the said Boschaart and of Mr<br />
Puiquet aforesaid and sent him therein or therewith the bills of<br />
lading (for the said silver) annexed and nowe showed unto him together with the foresaid<br />
accompts and [?XXX] the said letters by the post over land to Antwerp, and the said producent<br />
Mr Boschaart received the same before there was there any newes of the<br />
seizure of the said shipps, the ''Sampson'', ''Salvador'' or ''Saint George''<br />
which hee knoweth being acquainted with the receipt thereof by the<br />
producent and seeing and reading the same upon such receipt, and<br />
saith the said bills were and are true and reall bills and not colorable<br />
which hee knoweth for the reasons aforesaid. And otherwise hee cannot<br />
depose saving the said bills annexed were and are the same bills that were soe sent.
To the 6th hee saith that at the time of the said lading and for many<br />
monethes before and continually since the said ffrancis de la Sierpe<br />
by whom the said plate was laden was and is the agent and correspondent<br />
of teh said James Puiquett and George Boschaert and for such<br />
commonly accompted, which hee knoweth for the reason aforesaid,<br />
and knowing that the said producent George Boschart (upon his<br />
removall about two yeares since from Cadiz to dwell in Antwerp)<br />
left the said ffrancis de la Sierpe to be his factor there, this<br />
deponent comming thence with the producent, and ever since the said<br />
de la Sierpe hath bin one of the factors to the said Boschaert aswell for such<br />
silver as hee the said Boschaert causeth to be laden for his owne accompt there, as for such as is laden<br />
for the [?ionint] accompt of him and the said Puiquetttt, and to that end<br />
there hath bin and is frequent correspondence and intercourse of<br />
letters betweene them, and this hee saith was and is true publique<br />
and notorious, which hee knoweth for the reasons aforesaid. And<br />
otherwise hee cannot depose.
To the 7th and eighth articles hee saith and deposeth that after<br />
the buying and providing of the said plate for the said producents<br />
accompt by the said ffrancsi de la Sierpe, hee the said ffrancis<br />
according to the order of the said producents (with<br />
which order sent by letters unto him this deponent was acquainted and [?XXXX]m this deponent was acquainted and [?XXXX] +
