To the twelfth he saith that he this depon … To the twelfth he saith that he this deponent was bourne att Caddiz[e]<br />
in Spaine, and there when att home hath his constant dwelling<br />
and saith he hath noe interest att all in the sylver now claymed either<br />
in propriety, Insurance or otherwise, nor will it be or doth he expect<br />
any benefit thereby if it be restored. And otherwise he cannot depose.
To the thirteenth and fourteenth he cannot depose.
To the fifteenth and sixteenth he cannot depose.
To the seventeenth he saith that the sayd Purser of the ''Sampson'' firmed <br />
two other bills of lading of the [tenor] of the bill to the allegation annexed<br />
and the sayd bills were delivered to the sayd Lewis ffernandez Angell.<br />
And further he cannot depose.
To the eighteenth he answereth and deposeth that he knoweth the bill <br />
of lading now showed him is one of the three bills whereof he hath<br />
predeposed by the firme of the sayd Pedro de Campo att the foot thereof<br />
and the markes and numbers in the margent thereof. And otherwise<br />
he cannot depose.
To the nyneteenth he saith that he verily beleiveth that the sayd Lewis<br />
ffernandez brought the bill of lading interrogat in his own Custody<br />
with him from Caddiz to this Citty and so much the sayd ffernandez acquainted<br />
this deponent after their Arrivall att London. And otherwise he cannot<br />
depose.
To the twentyeth he saith that the Interrate Lewis ffernandez came in the<br />
''Sampson'' from Cadiz arlate and was aboard att the seizure, this deponent<br />
sailing along with the ''Sampson'' in the ''Salvadore'' as he hath predeposed.<br />
And further he cannot depose.
To the one and twentyeth he saith that the sayd Lewis ffernandez aboard<br />
the sayd ship ''Sampson'' receyved three bills of lading all of one [teneor]<br />
from the the sayd Pedro de Campo Purser of the shipp. And this deponent knoweth<br />
not that any of them were delivered back to the Interrate Otto George or<br />
the Purser aforesaid. And otherwise he cannot depose.
To the two and twentyeth he saith that the sylver interrate was brought<br />
and came into the Bay of Caddize in one of the shipps of the Spanish<br />
West India fleet. And further to this Interrogatory he cannot depose.
To the three and twentyeth he saith that the sylver interrate was laden<br />
aboard the ''Sampson'' interrate about the latter end of July 1652 as he <br />
hath predeposed. And otherwise he cannot depose.
To the four and twentyeth he deposeth and saith that he this Rendent never<br />
saw in England any bill of lading of the sylver interrate this bill now showne him<br />
at his examination only excepted, which he beleiveth was presented unto the<br />
Court by the produrent, and was not delivered back to the sayd Otto<br />
George or his Purser. And otherwise he cannot depose.
To the five and twentyeth he saith that the sylver Interrate was not<br />
laden aboard the ''Sampson'' upon the open sea but saith it was so laden in <br />
the Bay of Cadize aforesayd under Command of the fforts thereto <br />
belonging. And otherwise he cannot depose.
