Transcription To the thirteenth he saith that the producTo the thirteenth he saith that the producent did acquaint this Rendent that the <br /> sayd plate and moneys were laden for the Accompt of him the producent<br /> as he laded them as he hath predeposed, And further he cannot depose. To the fourteenth he saith that he this Rendent was borne att Naer in Lakeland<br /> but hath of late tyme resided most at Saint Lucar in Spaine. And saith the that<br /> noe manner of interest in the sylver or goods now claymed nor shall have <br /> any benefit by the restitution thereof. And further he cannot depose. To the fifteenth, sixteenth, seventeenth and eighteenth Interrogatories he saith he<br /> cannot depose. To the nineteenth twentyeth and one and twentyeth Interrogatories he saith he saw the sayd Pedro Huckfeild Purser of the ''Sampson''<br /> signe three Bills of one tenor for the sayd Peru moneyes, (whereof he knoweth the<br /> Bill annexed with this name Ottavio Jorge att the foot thereof by the firme<br /> marke and contents thereof to be one) and that he delivered two of them to the<br /> producent and kept one of them himselfe. And saith likewise that he saw the <br /> sayd Christian Cloppenbergh signe three bills of lading of one to nor for the <br /> sayd barr of plate, two whereof he delivered to the producent and kept one of <br /> them himselfe. and likewise three of one tenor for the sayd Mexico moneyes two<br /> whereof he delivered likewise to the producent and kept one of them himselfe. And<br /> saith that he knowne the by the respective firming markes and contents that the two bills now showne him annexed to the allegation<br /> and two of the aforesayd bills which this Rendent saw him the sayd Cloppenbergh<br /> signe for the sayd barr, and the sayd moneys respectively as aforesayd. And further<br /> saving his foregoing depositions he cannot depose. To the two and twentyith he saith that the sayd producent came as a passenger in<br /> the shipp ''Salvador'' and was aboard her att the tyme of the seizure interrate and<br /> otherwise cannot depose. To the three and twentyeth he saith that all the sayd money and plate [now] claymed <br /> was laden aboard under the Command of the forts of Cadize. And further <br /> he cannot depose. To the four and twentyeth he saith that he doth he doth not know of any money sylver or<br /> goods delivered out of either of of the sayd shipps after the sayd money and plate<br /> now claymed was laden. And otherwise saving his foregoing depositions he <br /> cannot depose. To the five and twentyeth and six and twentyeth Interrogatories he referreth himself<br /> to his foregoing deposition to the .2.3.4.5 and 6th articles of the allegation and <br /> to his deposition to the 19.20. and 21th interrogatories. And further he cannot depose To the seven and twentyeth he saith he doth not knowe nor beleive that the Interrate<br /> Arnout Van Haesdonck had or hath any share or Interest in the says sylver<br /> money or goods now Claymed. and further he cannot depose. To the eighth and twentyeth he saith that he believeth and is perswaded in<br /> his conscience that in case the Shipps and money and plate Interrate had<br /> bene surprized by the ffrench, the Interrate Haesdonck would att the <br /> Request of the producent have used all his best and lawful diligence to<br /> have recovered the sayd plate and money and have preserved it from being <br /> condemned, but saith he doth not believe nor is pers[waded] that the sayde <br /> Haesdonck would have procured any witnesses or witnesse to sweare and<br /> depose the same to belong to him the sayd Arnout Van Haesdonck as<br /> his owne proper [goods]. And otherwise he cannot depose. To the first Interrogatories in the second place [CENTRE HEADING] To the first and second Interrogatories he saith that it is prohibited by the King of<br /> Spaine to carry money or plate from any the ports of Spaine without license<br /> and saith that all persons offending against such order of the King if he be taken<br /> is molested and punished for such offence. And so much this Rendent saith <br /> is commonly knowne and discoursed of by Merchants and Marriners using the <br /> Spanish ports. And otherwise he cannot depose.
