Cadize as aforesayd. And further he cannot depose.
To the fifth he saith that the arlate Don Antonio da Ponte is a Spaniard<br />
and as this deponent hath credibly heard and beleiveth was borne in Garachicho<br />
aforesayd, where this deponent was likewise borne. And he is a subiect of<br />
the King of Spayne and hath his family at Garachicho aforesayd, And<br />
for many yeares of this deponents knowledge, having lived with him<br />
four yeares as a servant, hath traded as a Merchant betwixt the West<br />
Indyes the Canary Islands Spayne and other places under the dominion<br />
of the sayd King of Spaine. And further he cannot depose.
To the sixth he saith that as he hath predeposed the sayd six barrs of sylver<br />
were laden aboard the ''Sampson'' for the proper Accompt of the producent<br />
and att his owne hazard and adventure were to be transported to Ostend, and <br />
there they had been delivered to him for his owne use and accompt in case<br />
the sayd shipp had arrived att Ostend, whither she was bound. And further<br />
he cannot depose.
To the seventh he saith that his depositions to which here for[] himselfe are<br />
true. And otherwise he cannot depose.

To the first he saith that he this deponent as a passenger was embarqued aboard<br />
the ''Sampson'' in the bay of Cadize about or in the month of September last past.<br />
and was aboard her att the tyme of seizure. And further he cannot depose.
To the second he saith that he hath knowne the producent to be an Inhabitant and to<br />
have his family in Garachicho aforesayd as long as he cannot remember, himselfe<br />
being borne and living there, and beleiveth the sayd producent was likewise borne<br />
there.
To the third he saith that the sylver Interrate came to Cadize about the end of July<br />
16[5]2. as he hath before deposed and was laden aboard the ''Sampson'' about ten<br />
dayes after in the bay of Cadize and this deponent together with his [preator?]<br />
Lorenzo de Veles, and one Roderigo Alonzo and allso the producent were att<br />
that tyme present and aboard. And this deponent as his servant did assist the<br />
producent in the Lading thereof, but it was laden for the only accompt of<br />
him the sayd producent. And otherwise he cannot depose.
To the fourth he saith that the sayd Don Antonio de Ponte a Spaniard of Teneriffe<br />
Laded the sylver arlate in the day tyme, and the Purser of the shipp the sayd<br />
Pedro de Campo receyved the saime aboard. And otherwise he cannot depose.
To the fifth he saith that he this Rendent saw the sayd Pedro de Campo on or about the<br />
sayd sixth day of September 16[5]2 aboard the sayd shipp then riding att an anchor<br />
in the bay of Cadize signe the bills of lading interrate. And otherwise he cannot<br />
depose.
To the sixth he saith that the bill of lading interrate of he this Rendent is fully<br />
satisfyed in his Conscience is true and according to the verity of the matter and<br />
not false, feigned, or colourable. And otherwise he cannot depose.
To the seventh and eighth Interrogatories he cannot depose, saving that he<br />
knoweth and is sure that the sylver now claymed was laden by the same party<br />
whom the Bill of lading to the allegation annexed and now showne him [memorebly?]<br />
to have laden it.
