of the sayd Prince and Company

'''Thomas Swinsen''' of Saint Michaels parish<br />
in Crooked Lane London Cheesemonger aged<br />
19 yeares or thereabouts a witnes sworne<br />
and examined deposeth and saith as followeth<br />
videlicet.
To the sayd allegation and Articles therein This deponent saith that<br />
on or about the 17th or 18th dates of January last past he<br />
this deponent was in Company with the arlate Paul Paulson<br />
in the ouse of Mr Bingeon a victualling howse in Thames<br />
Street London and the sayd Paulson did then and there say<br />
and declare in the presence and hearing of this deponent<br />
that the shipp ''Charity'' whereof he was master (measning and<br />
speaking of the shipp ''Charity'' arlate) was laden with pitch<br />
tarr deales Iron two masts and some small sparrs, and that<br />
he the sayd Paulson had laden the same all for his owne accompt,<br />
30 barrels of tarr or thereabouts excepted belonging to his<br />
shipps Company 12 of which 30 barrels did as hee said belong to<br />
his steersman, And that he bought and provided the same<br />
for his owne accompt, and that for that reason videlicet because<br />
the sayd goods were his owne he had neyther Charter party<br />
nor bill of lading for the same or to the same effect. And<br />
the same confession or acknowledgement or the like in effect<br />
this deponent hath severall other tynes (and upon severall<br />
occasions heard, the sayd Paul Poulson make and declare<br />
in the presence and hearing of him this deponent. And<br />
further or otherwise he saith he cannot depose.
