any Port of England to Virginia And further he<br />
deposeth not.
To the sixth he sayth that at this present time there<br />
are more wages given to persons of this quality<br />
and condicons menconed in the said first schedule<br />
then was given to the said persons in the said schedule, and<br />
he sayth that at the time of the voyage arlate the producent<br />
hyred all the sayd persons of this deponents knowledge<br />
at the best and lowest rates he could And further<br />
he cannot depose.
To the 7th article he deposeth that the ship the ''West India''<br />
''Merchant'' arlate having in her divers goods laden and<br />
some passengers in her and ready to goe upon her voyage<br />
to Virginia about October 1651 arlate was commanded to attend upon the ffleet<br />
reducing the Barbathoes, and that she being soe commanded<br />
she was about three monthes in the States service<br />
in the said employment, And further he deposeth not.
To the 8th he deposeth and sayth that upon hopes of<br />
reducing the Barbathoes the said shipp the ''West India Merchant''<br />
was by the said John Prines meanes released from attending<br />
the said ffleet and went upon her merchandising<br />
voyage to Virginia, and that she arrived there about<br />
the month of ffebruary 1651 arlate, and that the said<br />
passengers and goods that were taken into her at<br />
Southampton were all safely landed at Virginia<br />
And further he deposeth not
To the nineth article, that the sayd shipp the ''West India''<br />
''Merchant'' was upon her voyage homeward laden at<br />
Virginia with Tobaccoes, the greatest part of the<br />
Tobaccoes were of this deponents knowledge consigned by<br />
the arlate Mr Hussey and Mr [?Paihorne] and<br />
some other Merchants of Southampton And further he<br />
deposeth not.
To the tenth article he sayth; that hee this deponent had<br />
heard by the producent and others that the arlate [?Nicholas]<br />
Smith hath received divers summes of money due for [?freight]<br />
of goods and for carrying of passengers the voyage<br />
arlate more then his due or proportionable part And<br />
further he deposeth not.
To the eleaventh article and to the schedule [?XXX]<br />
menconed he deposeth that of his this deponents knowledge<br />
being Masters Mate as is predeposed) the voyage arlae [?XXX]<br />
particulass menconed in the said schedule were [?had] [?XXX]<br />
provided by the arlate John Prine and that all the [?XXXXXXX]<br />
necessary, but what money it cost the said Prine for [?XXX]<br />
he saith he knoweth not.?XXX]<br />
