TO the seventh Interrogtorie This Rendent … TO the seventh Interrogtorie This Rendent saith that the bills of ladeing<br />
sea breifes and papers now shewen him mentioned in this Interrogatorie<br />
were as he beleiveth aboard the sayd shipp ''Saint John'' att the tyme of<br />
her seizure, but whether those papers and writings together<br />
with the forementioned 12 bills of lading were all the writings<br />
that were on board the sayd shipp he cannot depose. And otherwise<br />
he cannot depose.

four and thirty yeares of thereabouts a witnes<br />
sworne and examined deposeth and saith as<br />
followeth.
To the first article of the sayd allegation This deponent saith that the sayd shipp<br />
''Saint John'' and her ladeing were in fact though uniustly taken and sized<br />
by a Galliot commanded by the arlate Hollman a private Caper of<br />
Captaine Phillips in the moneth of September 1653. which he<br />
knoweth being Master of the sayd shipp ''Saint John''. and otherwise cannot<br />
depose./
To the second article of the sayd allegation This deponent saith that the<br />
tyme the sayd shipp was seized there was and remained aboard her two<br />
sea briefes or safe passe ports one latin the other dutch under the seale<br />
of the free State of Hamburgh and severall papers and writings and<br />
amongst the rest 40. or 41. bills of lading for the merchants<br />
goods aboard the sayd shipp, and particularly for the goods [?schedulate]<br />
and for severall other goods, and also this deponents shipps [?booke]<br />
wherein the particulars of the merchants goods and this deponents<br />
owne Cargazon of goods were entred. And saith that the goods<br />
