'''Thomas Swan''' aforesaid upon the Interrogatories examined/
To the first Interrogatory hee saith That hee was a passenger in the shipp the<br />
''Salvadore'' when the same was seised and taken as aforesaid, and came into her at<br />
Cadiz in Spaine, and was att Sea about 28 dayes before shee was seised And<br />
otherwise he cannot depose.
To the second hee saith hee knoweth not the Interrate Nicholas Crombeene but<br />
hath heard hee was borne in fflanders and is a Subiect to the King of Spaine<br />
And otherwise hee cannot depose./
To the third hee saith that hee was by and present when the aforesaid William<br />
Crombeen bought the said 61 potaccoes of Tobaccoe which he saith was consigned to<br />
the said Nicholas Crombeene according to the bill of lading aforesaid And saith that<br />
he can show no other reason of his knowledge that the said Nicholas is accompted<br />
the Owner of the said Tobacco Then that the bill of lading aforesaid doth mention that<br />
the same is consigned [?XXX] to him And otherwise cannot depose./
To the 4th he saith That the Interrate William Crombeen came on board the shipp<br />
the ''Salvadore'' when the Tobacco now Claymed was laden and did look after and<br />
take care thereof for the Accompt only of his brother And not for any ffrenchman or<br />
any of the dutch nation And further cannot depose./
To the 5th hee saith That hee saw the said 61 potaccoes of Tobaccoe in the house<br />
of William Crombeen in Marachao, in his Custodie being thence shipped aboard the ''Nostra''<br />
''Seniora da Rosario'' as aforesaid and brought to Cadiz where hee saith the said [?tobaccho]<br />
was taken out of the said shipp and laden on board the ''Salvadore'' bound for Ostend<br />
aforesaid And further hee cannot depose/
