the same was paid unto the said Andrew Wessell who sold the said shipp<br />
unto the said Otto. And otherwise saving his foregoeing deposition hee<br />
cannot depose.
To the fifth hee saith hee this deponent being master as aforesaid<br />
by the said Antonio Wessell his appointment delivered up the said<br />
shipp to the said Otto George upon his the said Otto his buying her<br />
as aforesaid of himselfe and the rest of his owners and saw him<br />
take possession of her to the use of himselfe and his said fellow owners<br />
for whom hee bought her. And otherwise hee referreth himselfe to<br />
his foregoing deposition.
To the sixth hee saith the said owners have from time to time paid<br />
for the setting out and fitting of the said shipp as owners thereof ever<br />
since this deponents comming to serve in her as aforesaid. And otherwise<br />
hee referreth himselfe to his foregoing deposition.
To the 7th negatively, saving the said shipp nowe before her seizure<br />
came from Cadiz bound for Ostend and saving his foregoing deposition.
To the 8th hee referreth himselfe to his foregoing deposition and cannot<br />
otherwise answer.
To the 9th hee saith hee this deponent was borne in the Iland of<br />
[?ffereren] neare Lubeck, and liveth in Lubeck and hath soe donne for<br />
theise 11 yeares last and upwards, and otherwise negatively.
To the tenth hee cannot depose.
To the 11th hee saith hee was not by nor a witnesse to the buying of the<br />
said Lem[?ons] part of the heires of Peter van der [?Berck], nor<br />
was the same immediately bought of them, but the shipp being<br />
taken by the ffrench as hereafter followeth and the said Otto<br />
George redeeming her for his owners, and the said Peter Vander<br />
[?Berck] being then dead and his heires paying for redemption of<br />
their part, the said Corneluis Leman paid for the same and soe<br />
became owner of the said part, paying the money to the said Captaine<br />
Otto George, being a fifteene hundred peeces of eight.
To the 12th hee saith the said shipp hath not bin at Lubeck since the<br />
said Otto George his buying her as aforesaid there, And otherwise negatively
To the last hee saith that in the yeares 1651 in November the said shipp<br />
was taken by the ffrench and carried to Tholon, and there made prize<br />
and confiscate and adiudged to the ffrench the takers, from whom the<br />
said Otto George redeemed her for his owners, referring himselfe<br />
in that particular to his examination taken in the preparatorie in this<br />
Court. And otherwise hee cannot answer.

To the first article of the sayd allegation he saith and deposeth, that the<br />
arlate shipp the ''Sampson'' as this deponent hath credibly heard and be;eiveth<br />
was built att Lubeck and there bought by the arlate Otto George for his<br />
owne Accompt and the owners hereafter mentioned about seven yeares agoe<br />
And saith that from the tyme that the sayd shipp was first employed the<br />
arlate Vincent Van Campen, John da Windt, ffrederick Bevia, Robert<br />
Jacomo, and Otto George have bene, and att present are Owners and<br />
Proprietors each of them of one eighth part of the sayd shipp her tackle and<br />
furniture and so accounted and for and during the same tyme, the arlate Daniell da Leon<br />
and ffrancis Pannincqr were and are owners ioyntly of one eighth part<br />
