[?Acons] London haberdasher, aged 32 yeares or<br />
thereabouts sworne and examined.
To the first article of the said allegation hee saith and deposeth<br />
that Segovia woolls and Castila woolls are commonly<br />
used and imployed in this Commonwealth aswell for making<br />
of felts and hatts as for cloths, and a very great quantitie<br />
of each of the said sorts of wooll, namely aswell of Castila<br />
as of Segovia is vended and wrought some into cloth and some<br />
into hatts every yeare in England and this hee saith was and<br />
is said and notorious, which hee knoweth having for theise
sixteene yeares bin acquainted with the said commodities and<br />
having for theise nine yeares last or thereabouts dealt therein<br />
for himselfe as a wooll-seller and a haberdasher of hatts. And otherwise<br />
hee cannot depose.
To the second article hee saith that hee beleeveth that there<br />
are yearely one yeare with another the number of foure<br />
thousand baggs of wooll and upwards of the said sorts spent<br />
and imployed in the making of felts and cloth in this Commonwealth<br />
and sold and there is a lesse quantitie spent one yeare with<br />
anothere spent one yeare with<br />
