To the third Interrogatorie hee saith that the said ship the ''Saint Martyn''<br />
is a ffrench shipp and her Captaine and most of her<br />
Company hee saith were and are ffrenchmen. And<br />
otherwise hee answereth negatively.
To the fowerth hee referreth himselfe to his foregoeing deposition<br />
and otherwise hee answereth negatively.
To the 5th Interrogatorie hee saith that the goods claymed in this cause<br />
are of the growth of severall Countreyes videlicet the fower bales<br />
of Grogaran yarne in the said bill of ladeing specified are of the growth of<br />
Begburzar in the Turks Dominions, The two bales of worme<br />
seed and one bale of Rubarb schedulated hee saith are of the growth<br />
of Bask and Barhar under the Dominions of the King of Juzbeck<br />
neere Persia. And the 5. bales of silke allsoe specified in the<br />
said bill of lading hee saith are of the Growth of Azdivele in<br />
Persia And saith hee was present when they were all bought<br />
by the said producent of severall merchants in Smirna, some part<br />
whereof hee saith were bought with ready money and the other with Corall<br />
videlicet the silke the Rubarb and wormeseed was bought with ready money<br />
and the Grogaran yarne with part money and part Corall. And<br />
otherwise hee cannot depose saveing his foregoeing deposition.
To the 6th Interrogatorie hee saith that the ffrench had never any thing<br />
to doe with any of the said goods claymed in this cause nor were<br />
or are they to receave any hazard or Advanture thereabout And<br />
otherwise hee answereth negatively
To the 7th Interrogatorie hee saith That hee did see the said Michaell<br />
Audric signe the said bill of lading and at the same tyme hee<br />
saith hee did see him signe another of the sáme tenor one<br />
whereof the producent left at Smirna and the other hee<br />
brought along with him And otherwise hee answereth negatively<br />
saveing that the said producent was to pay ffreight for his said<br />
goods at Leghorne to the said Captaine Audric and Cambio money<br />
according to the said bill of ladeinge./
To the 8th Interrogatorie hee saith that the said ship the Saint Martin<br />
was seized by eight of the Parliaments ships neare the Ile Corsica<br />
about 5 moneths since And saith that the said producent, together<br />
with this deponent and six other Armenian Merchants and 5 servants with<br />
some Maultese Men and Woemen [XXXXX XXXXXX] all were tourned ashore upon an<br />
Iland neere Trapany And otherwise saveing his foregeoing<br />
deposition hee saith hee cannot depose saveing that the Names of<br />
the [XXXX] other 6 Armenian Merchants were as followeth videlicet three Jacomes<br />
Hoÿah Kamal Hoÿah Sarakan and Hoÿah Maco<br />
and their servants hee saith were two of them named herapaide<br />
one Hutcatuer, one Balthazar and one Gregorio
