To the 3d. and fowerth Interrogatories hee … To the 3d. and fowerth Interrogatories hee referreth himselfe to his<br />
foregoeing deposition And otherwise hee cannot depose.
To the Crosse Interrogatories. [CENTRE HEADING]
To the first Interoogratorie hee saith that hee doeth not knowe the said<br />
Captaine Ashly, but saith hee well knewe the ship the ''Sampson''<br />
whereof hee was Captaine, And saith that hee for his part<br />
affecteth both parties litigant equally and is not any way is related<br />
by kindred or otherwise to the producent. And otherwise hee cannot<br />
depose.
To the second Interrogatorie hee saith that hee neither hath nor had any share<br />
in the said ship the ''Adventure'' interrogated nor will it bee either losse or gaine to<br />
him which way soever this cause is adiudged. And otherwise cannot depose.
To the third Interrogatorie hee saith that hee did see the said ship interrogated<br />
in or about the moneth of October or November 1643: neere Carthagena<br />
in the possession and under the power of the said Captaine Ashlye<br />
And otherwise referring himselfe to his foregoeing deposition hee saith<br />
hee cannot depose.
To the last hee saith hee hath not soe deposed./

To the first Interrogatorie hee saith and deposeth That hee this deponent<br />
well knewe the ship the ''Adventure'' whereof the Interrogated Paul<br />
dad was master or Commander and which hee bought at Dunquirke<br />
in or about the yeare 1641 and saith that at the said tyme the said<br />
dad (who was and is well knowne unto this deponent) was comonly<br />
and generally accompted owner of the said shipp allsoe, which formerly<br />
hee saith hee knewe called by the name of the ''Violet'' And hee further<br />
deposeth that in or about the tyme interrogated hee this deponent did<br />
see the said Dad in the quiet possession of the said ship which then was<br />
in Saint George his Channell neere the Salters as this deponent remem=<br />
breth the place. And otherwise hee cannot depose.
To the second and third Interrogatories hee saith and deposeth That<br />
hee this deponent being one of the Company belonging to the ship the<br />
''Island Merchant'' whereof Peter Steward was Master was with<br />
the said ship at Leghorne in or about the Moneth of Aprill 1643<br />
at which tyme the said shippe the ''Adventure'' alias the ''Violet''<br />
(which was and did formerly belong unto the said producent Paul Dad)<br />
