Clarke doctor of lawes one of the Judges of the<br />
higher Court of the Admiralty. and examined upon Interrogatories<br />
ministred on the behalfe of the said Co[XX] and others<br />
saith and deposeth as followeth
To the first Interrogatorie hee saith and deposeth That hee<br />
this deponent was master and Commander of the said<br />
ship the ''Mathew and John'' Interrogated at such tyme as shee<br />
was last at the Canaryes. And saith that hee this deponent with the said<br />
ship departed from the Canarye Ilands for London<br />
(to which Port she was bound to discharge) upon or<br />
about the ninth day of Januarye Last past<br />
Englishe stile. And otherwise hee cannot depose.
To the second Interrogatorie hee saith that the said shipp<br />
after she departed from the Canaryes and as shee<br />
was in her course for London off the Island of<br />
