To the 22th hee saith that all the mariners and company of the said shipp<br />
were hired and shipped at Lubeck aforesaid, and this deponent was<br />
hired and agreed with by the skipper at and for 24 Rex dollers and money for 6 tonnes of salt from<br />
Lubeck to Cadiz and soe back againe for Lubeck, but if the shipp went<br />
into the Straights, then the Skipper was to give him six moneth by wages<br />
as hee and this deponent at Cadiz should agree upon, quoad [?reterra]<br />

To the foure and twentieth hee deposeth that the shipp the ''Tobias'' was gonne<br />
from Lubeck for Cadiz before the ''Saint Matthias'' was ready, and thae<br />
''Saint Matthias'' over tooke her at Elsenore where shee was staid by contrary<br />
winde, els hee saith the ''Saint Matthias'' had not had her company,<br />
and saith for his part hee knewe not till then that the ''Tobias'' was bound<br />
for Cadiz, but then comming soe hee saith together, they meant to saile<br />
together (as hee was informed) for Cadiz, being both bound for tha port.
To the 25th hee saith that the aid shipp ''Saint Matthias'' is not<br />
prepared nor fitted for a warlke but for a merchandizing voyage and<br />
imployment, alr nescit salvis predepoite.
