Ad primum et 2um arlos dicta allegacone deponit et dicit That<br />
hee this deponent well knoweth the shipp the ''Peter Bonad=''<br />
''venture'' arlate and was one of her Comnpany videlicet Boatswaine<br />
of her dureing all the tearme of the voyage in question which<br />
hee saith begane about the Middle of Aprill last was a twelve<br />
moneth, dureing which the arlate Richard Whittall John Birchett<br />
(and Peter Lunt soe long as hee lived), were and are accompted<br />
the true and lawfull owners and proprietors of the said ship<br />
together with her Tackkle apparell and furniture. Et alterius<br />
depont that within the tyme arlate the said Birchett Whittall<br />
and Lunt did lett the said ship the ''Peter Boanadventure'' to<br />
ffreight unto the arlate William Bowyer John Harris and Companie for<br />
the voyage arlate and did promise contract and agree to and with<br />
the said Harris and Companie that the said ship at the tyme of<br />
her setting out should bee a firme tight and stanch shipp and<br />
furnished with all necessaryes for such a voyage, and that shee<br />
ws of the Burthen of 210. Tonns as is arlate All which this<br />
deponent knoweth to be true hee haveing seene the Charter partie<br />
made by and betwixt the Parties aforesaid for the said Voyage<br />
whereby it is manifest that the said Birchett Whittall<br />
and Lunt did promise and Covenant as in all things is predeposed<br />
Et alr salvis infra scripta nescit deponere.
Ad 3um deponit et dict that whilst the said ship the<br />
''Peter Bonadventure'' ws and remained in this Port of London<br />
and before she proceeded on upon the voyage in question the said Harris<br />
and Company did lade and put aboprd the said ship diverse goods<br />
and merchandizes together with about 190. Passengers which with the<br />
arlate Peter Lunt (Mr Cole Master of the said ship being sicke)<br />
was to have sailed to Antego, but hee saith the said Lunt<br />
did neglect and refuse to doe the same for many daies together albeit<br />
the wind was faire, and that hee was earnestly desired soe to doe<br />
by the Merchant ffreighters theire Agent abord the same reddens<br />
racionem scientiae so hee this deponent being abord the said shippe<br />
all the voyage in question and when the said Lunt refused to make saile<br />
as is predeposed. Et alr nescit deponere.
