To the seaventh pretended psosition they<br />
answere and beleeve that they can make<br />
noe answere thereunto in regard that all<br />
the things arlate are kept from the sighte<br />
of these respondents and their Agents./.
To the eight pretended position they answere<br />
and beleeve that the said shippe the ''Anne''<br />
nowe the ''Endeavour'' arlate hath bine out<br />
of the possession of these respondents by the<br />
space of three yeares, And otherwise they<br />
nor either of them doe not beleeve the<br />
said position to bee true in any parte.
To the ninth pretensed position they<br />
answer and beleeve that the masts boltspritt<br />
rigginge and Cable and Anchors were the<br />
same which are nowe in the shippe the<br />
''Anne'' alias the ''Endeavour'' which were in the said<br />
shippe the ''Anne'' when these respondents<br />
lost her were the same which belonged to<br />
the said shippe as they beleeve And otherwise<br />
for their parts they doe not beleeve the<br />
said position to bee true in any parte<br />
thereof.
To the tenth pretensed position hee answereth<br />
that the shippe arlate was and is 11 yeares<br />
old and noe more and was of the burthen <br />
of 70 tonnes or thereabouts and the bare<br />
hull of her when these respondents lost her<br />
was worth 150 ''li'' and not lesse as they<br />
beleeve And otherwise they doe not beleeve<br />
the said position to bee true in any parte<br />
thereof.
