Abstract & context
Abigaill Bush was the wife & widow of Abraham Bush, a London merchant, whose father was of Dutch origins. Abraham Bush was a subscriber in the SVJS. She left legacies to several ministers of the Dutch church in London.
Abigaill Bush was probably born in Norwich, a city she mentions in her will. She also mentions her nephew Nathaniel Letten, a London merchant, who was born in Norwich, who she named as one of her executors.

IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN The Thirtyeth day of November Anno And 1671 And in the Three and Twentyeth yeare of the Raigne of our Soveraigne Lord Charles the Second, by the grace of God of England Scotland ffrance and Ireland Knight Defender of the faith etc I Abigail Bush of London Widdow being at this present in good health and of sound and perfect mind and memory Laud and Praise be therefore given to Almighty God yet considering my mortallity doe make publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament in manner following ffirst and principally I comitt and Comend my Soule into the hands of Almighty God my Creator beleeving that by and through the Meritts of Jesus Christ my onely Saviour and Redeemer I shall inheritt eterernall life

My Body I comitt to the Earth to be buryed in decent and Christian manner in the Parish church of S:t Martins Outwich London if it may be
And as for touching and concerning the temporall or worldly Estate which it hath pleased God to bestow upon mee I dispose thereof as followeth Viz:t
IMPRIMIS I doe hereby give will and devise and bequeath to my Deare and only daughter and heire Abigail Bush and to her heires executors and assignes all and singular my Messuages Lands houses Tenements and hereditaments whatsoever as well freehold and copyhold in Stratford in the County of Middlesex and in the city of Norwich or either of them And also all and singular other my messuages Lands Tenements and hereditaments whatsoever and wheresoever And all and singular my Mortgages and Lands and Tenem:ts mortgaged and all sume and sumes of money benefitt profitt proceed and advantage whatsoever which are or shall be due payable or recoverable upon any of my mortgages whatsoever shee my said daughter paying my debts and the Gyfts Annuity and Legacyes herein by this my Will bequeathed
ITEM I give to the severall persons herein after menconed the severall sumes herein after expressed in good and lawfull money of England Viz:t To M:r Obtenbeck and M:r Bishopp ministers of the Dutch Church Tenn pounds a peece And to the Poore of that Church fforty Pounds To M:r Allison Minister of Norwich Tenn Pounds To the Poore of that Church of Norwich whereof he is Minister ffyty Pounds towards a stock for them To Deborah Verdier Widdow of Peter Verdier an Annuity of Six Pounds per annum during her life To be paid Quarterly by equall porcons To Samuell fframley the sume of Twenty Pounds to be paid him at ffower severall payments as my Executors shall think fitt To M:r Hollingsworth to preach my funerall sermon ffyve pounds And to the Poore of the Parish of S:t Martins Outwich aforesaid in Case I be there buryed fforty shillings To my Nephew Nathaniell Letten ffifty pounds for his care to be taken about my Estate The rest and residue of my moneye Plate Jewells Goods Chattells Rights Creditts Lands Tenements and Estate whatsoever and wheresoever after my debts and funeralls and Legacyes hereby bequeathed paid and discharged I give will devise and bequeath to my said daughter Abigail Bush And I make and ordeine the said Abigail Bush and my said Nephew Nathaniel Letten Executors of this my last Will and Testament And I revoke disanull and make utterly void all and all manner of Wills andTestaments by mee hertofore made published or declared
