Transcription

Ad 6 arlum deponit that the said producent hath for the said six
yeeres that hee hath knowne him bin and is a Merchant and
Inhabitant of Antwerp, and a subiect of the king of Spaine,
and hee knoweth him to be and that he keepeth his Merchandizing
bookes faire and orderly, And saith the accompt arlate of the
cost and chardges of the said shipp was and is duely entred in his
leiger booke marked B. fut .38. with other things before and after it,
which booke the said producent showed to severall English merchants
And otherwise referring himselfe to the extract of the said account
which hee saith hee knoweth to be a true extract, hee cannot depose

Ad primum rendet that hee is a native of Antwerp and hath alwaies
dwelt there, [?fXXX] et [?XXX] in [?differenter] [?partibus] [?inXXXX] [?institis]
alr [?satisfecit] supra.

Ad 2. rendet that hee is expressely sent over hether from and by
his said master to testify his knowledge in this businesse, and that
his master beareth his chardges, alr negativa salvis predepoita.

Ad 3 negativa referen[?XX] ad predepoita.

Ad 4 rendet that hee is both privie to the writing and sending
the said letters and hath seene the bookes as aforesaid hee copying and
being daily conversent therein, et refert se ad predepoita.

Ad 5 rendet that hee is very confident that his said master
receiveth not any letter touching his [?negotiation] and traffique or
shipping, but what hee putteth amongest the rest which are free
to the view of this deponent and the Vooke-keeper. Et alr
negativa.

Ad 6 negativa.

Ad 7 rendet that the said producent is owner of 5 shipps, namely
the Elizabeth of about 50 or 60 lasts Peter Brit at Ostend master,
the Christina, burthen about 30 or 40 lasts, Peter Morel master,
the Postillon of Antwerp, of the like burthen, Anthony Band[?XX]
master, a fflieboate of about 120 lasts named the three kings
Jaques da Meyer master, and the Saint Barbara in question. Et
alr nescit salvis predepoita.

Ad 8 nescit.

Ad 9 rendet that Madame de La Ronde and Godfrey de la Ronde
are the producents factors and correspondent at Rochel, Et
alr nescit.

Ad 10 rendet that the said producent wrote to the said Madame
and Godfrey de la Ronde to lade the said shipp with salt for
Bristol for his accompt, and to draw the payment upon him
Et alr nescit.
