money due for the sayd beefe) by the not payment of his sayd principall
which if hee had receaved, hee this deponent beleeveth hee might
have gained twenty pounds by using and imployeing the same in his trade of a butcher
And further to this article hee cannot depose/

To the last hee saith his fregeoing deposition is true/

To the Interrogatories/ [CENTRE HEADING]

To the first hee saith hee is an Apprentice and servant in house to the
Interrogate Richard hamond and soe hath bin for these three yeares
last past or neere thereabouts and is the sayd hamonds wifes nephew
and cometh to testifie the truth of his knowledge in this busines being
soe requested to doe by the producent hamond And further hee cannot
answere./

To the 3 and 3 Interrogatories hee saith hee was as is predeposed present at the delivery
of all the beefe predeposed of on board the boate of the sayd shipp the
Sisters and saith the same was delivered fresh, and that hee sawe the same weighed and that the sayd Carey was present at the delivery of some of it and gave order for the delivery of the rest, but hee this deponent did not take soe exact notice where the sayd shipp laye every
tyme beefe was delivered, but saith shee lay somtymes about black
wall, somtymes neere Bellwharfe and somtymes neere the new
Crane at Wapping And to the rest of the Interrogatories saving his foregeoing
deposition hee answereth negatively for his parat and otherwise cannot answere

To the 4th hee saith that since July 1653 the Interrogated Richard hamond
did in this deponents presence receive of the Interrogated Gregory Carey three
pounds in part of payment for the beefe predeposed of And further hee
cannot answere./

To the 5th and sixth hee saith hee cannot answere, knowing nothing nor having
heard any thing touching the contents thereof./

To 7th hee saith that since the 4th of July Interrogated hee hath heard the
Interrogate hammond demand of the Interrogate Carey his money due
for the beefe predeposed and saith the sayd Carey answered and sayd that hee
would pay him the same soe soone as hee could, or to that effect
And further to this Interrogatorie hee cannot answere/

To the last hee saith hee cannot answere having never heard any
thing to the effect Interrogate./
