servant to the arlate William Ballett well knoweth that one Captaine
fferne who (as hee sayd) was husband for the arlate shipp the Minories, did in the
moneths of July August and September buy of the sayd William severall quantities
of pitch and oyles for the use of the sayd shipp (and which shee stood neede of
to fitt her out for her intended voyage) worth the summe of three pounds two
shillings and sixe pence sterling according to the rates such commodities then
yeilded and to soe much the same amounted to of this deponents knowledge
who delivered all the sayd quantities of oyles and pitch to the sayd fferne
and others whome hee appointed to receive the same for those of the sayd shipp, And hee saith the sayd shipp as hee beleeveth could
not have performed her intended voyage if shee had not bin supplyed with
the sayd Commodities And further to these articles hee cannot depose./

To 4th hee saith hee referreth himselfe to the Registrie of this Court and
further hee cannot depose./

To the 5th hee saith hee beleeveth the sayd William Ballett and all the rest
of the Complainants in this suite are damnified by the want of their money
which they might have imployed to profitt if they could have receaved the same
but to what value hee cannot depose And further hee cannot depose./

To the last hee saith his foregoeing deposition is true./

Marie Goris of the parish of Saint Buttolph by Billingsgate
London widdowe aged 53 yeares or thereabouts a wittnes
sworne and examined saith and deposeth as followeth videlicet./

To the 15th rticle of the sayd allegation shee saith that shee this deponent
is the arlate Mary Goris and the widdowe of the arlate Solomon Goris her late husband
who deceased about 6 or 7 yeares since and shee saith that the arlate harman Gooris
is an English man borne and bred and the naturall and lawfull sonne of her
the sayd Mary by her sayd late Husband Solomon Goris deceased and saith the
sayd harman Goris was borne in Gratious streete London and saith that
about two or three yeares after the byrth of the sayd harman the sayd Salomon
Goris this deponents husband did take a howse in dukes place called hennage
house where hee lived till his death, And shee saith the sayd harman Goris
did live constantly for the space of 15 or 16 yeares and even untill the death of his sayd father in howse with him and
this deponent, and hath lived since his sayd fathers death in howse with her this
deponent saving at such tymes as hee hath travailed beyond seas supon his Merchandizing
affayres which hath bin for these 3 or 4 yeares last And shee saith the sayd harman
