The same day. [CENTRE HEADING]

Examined upon the said allegation.

Andrew [?Dunken] of the parish of Saint Stephen Walbrooke London
Marchant, aged 31 yeares or thereabouts sworne and examined.

To the first article of the said allegation hee saith hee well knoweth the
producent Richard Pistus and hath soe donne for theise [?seaven] yeares
last or thereabouts and hath for that space had [?conversation] and acquaintance
in Saint Lucars and Cadiz in Spaine this deponent being at Cadiz and
Sevill for all the said time, and saith the said Richard was, and is an
Englishman and for such commonly accompted and reputed and a subiect
of this Commonwealth, and speaketh and writeth perfect English as an Englishman
which hee knoweth being intimate with
the said Richard, who as this deponent hath understood from him was
borne in the West of England. And saith that as this deponent
who came from Cadiz the last of July last newe stile hath bin informed the
said Richard hath since this deponents said comming thence
suffered as an Englishman in the late sequestration made in
Spaine upon the English. And otherwise hee cannot depose.

To the interrogatories. [CENTRE HEADING]

To the first hee saith the said Richard is a batchelour and is [?nowe]
in Cadiz under restraint as this deponent beleeveth. And otherwise
hee referreth himselfe to his foregoing deposition and saving
the same cannot depose.

To the second hee cannot depose.

To the third hee saith hee this deponent is a native of the County
of Angus in Scotland, and hath lived in Cadiz and Sevill theise nine
or tenn yeares last. And otherwise negatively saving as aforesaid.

Nathaniell Nock of London Marchant aged 26 yeares
or thereabouts sworne and examined.

To the first article of the said allegation hee saith and deposeth that
hee hath knowne the producent Richard Pistus in Cadiz and
Saint Lucars theise two yeares lastduring which space this deponent (till
about nine weekes that hee came thence) lived in Spaine and was
well acquainted with him) and saith hee the said Richard is an
English man and a subiect of this Commonwealth and for such commonly
accepted and reputed, which hee knoweth being alsoe an Englishman
and conversing there with him, And saith that as this deponent
hath bin informed the said Richard hath suffered (being an
English man) upon the late sequestration made in Spaine upon the
English. And otherwise hee cannot depose.
