- Go into edit mode
- Insert immediately after the sentence or phrase you wish to annotate the following macro:<ref>This is the footnote text</ref>
- Replace 'This is the footnote text' with the footnote you wish to add, using the format: first name, surname, title, (place of publication, date of publication), page or folio number
- Save the page

Transcription
during which space hee saith shee hath bin and at present is
belonging to the port of hamborowe, and saith that ffrancis [?skuyer]
hendrick Stubb, Royke Stubb, Cornelius de [?hertag], Bartle [?kemp]
harman Rendorp and hee this deponent all of hamborowe and
dutchmen and subiects of the ffree state of hamborowe were and
and (sic) are her sole owners and for such commonly accompted, and
that they bought and paid for her about two yeeres since, and
constituted this deponent master of her, and from time to time ver
since shee hath bin fitted and sett out by them as owners of her
and to them as owners aforesaid hee hath from time to time given
accompt of the earnings and freight of the said shipp. And
otherwise hee cannot depose; saying that noe other person
whatsoever than those aforesaid hath any interest whatsoever in
the said shipp, tackle and furniture, or any part thereof.
