Transcription

To the eight Interrogatory he answereth that he is fully and
absolutely convinced in his conscience (for and by the
intelligence and advise communicated into him all
along from the first to the last concerning the
sayd eight bales of Linnen that the sayd Linnen
are the proper goods of the sayd Melchior de
Aranguren, and of noe frenchman, or subiect to the
french king or of any body else And further he
cannot answeare/

To the ninth Interrogatory he answereth that he doth not
particularly knowe of more then the 700 lb weight of
redd wooll that the interrate de Baud and De La ffitt
had in their hands of and belonging to the said Melchior
de ranguren, and he saith that the said woolls were
worth about 700 li as he beleiveth, and that the Linnens
interrate were bought and laden upon the account of the
product of the said woolls, And further he cannot answeare.

To the tenth Interrogatory he answereth that he verily beleiveth
that there was noe Insurance made upon the Linnens
interrate either here in [BLANK IN MANUSCRIPT]

To the eleveanth Interrogatory the answereth that the Linnens
interrate are (as he beleiveth) of the manufacture of ffrannce And
further he knoweth not to answeare.

To the twelth Interrogatory he answereth that he hath seene Letters
written from and by the interrate De Baud and De La ffitt
certifying from what port the shipps that brought the
woolls interrate came, and what were the names of the said
shipps that soe brought the said woolls, and that as he beleiveth
and best remembreth the names of the shipps were the
Aurora and the Russett ffish, and that they came with the
said woolls from Cadiz or some port neere adioyning And
further he cannot answeare./

To the 13th Interrogatory he answereth that the last time he saw
the Letters interrate was in March and Aprill last past
in the hands of Melchior de Aranguren the producent,
who hath them still (as he beleiveth) in his hands, and that the
sayd Letters were alll or the most part of them communicated
together with this Rendent unto his precontest Thomas de
Guzman And further he cannot answeare./

To the 14th Interrogatory he answereth that he referreth himselfe
to the Invoyce predeposed of remayning in the Registry of
this Court, and that as he beleiveth there was not any
thing in the bales interrate but Linnen And further
he cannot answeare./
