Transcription

To the third and fourth hee saith that after such departure of the said
shipp from Palma, shee with her said lading arived in safetie in Ireland
in or abut the end of June last at the said port of Galloway, where shee
dischardged foure hundred pounds (sterling) worth of the said [?XXX] upon
the said account and order of the said Michall Spicer, which being donne, shee
by his order departed from Galloway with the rest of the said cargo to goe
to the first port that shee could fetch of wexford or waterford, and that
in such her course of proceeding shee was about a moneth since mett with
set upon and seized by a Brestman of warr and with her said remaining
lading carried to Roscow in ffrance, where the said shipp and remayning
part of her said lading (being all that shee brought from
Palma saving the parcell of wines delivered at Galloway which was
about fourtie pipes) were confiscate and prize, and soe the
said remayning lading was and is wholly lost to the said producent
which hee knoweth being carried to Roscow in the man of warr in
her company, and there seeing the said confisca[?tion] and the goods
at the takers disposall And saith the said seizure was made upon the
coast of Ireland about foure or five legues off wexford in [?XXXX]
thick weather, And that her going for Wexford or Waterford was
thereto sell the rest of her said goods And otherwise hee cannot depose

Thomas Timon Mariner of upper Shadwell in the parish of Stepney
and County of Middlesex late Master of the shipp the Michaell of London
aged 28 yeares or thereabouts a witnes sworne before the right Worshippful
John Godolphin doctor of Lawes one of the Judges of the high Court of
Admiralty saith as followeth videlicet./
