Transcription

To the second article hee saith That in or about the moneth of October
in the yeare 1652 arlate the said Daniel Thyson by his factor and
Correspondents Joachim Alers and David Brandes residing at Mallega
in Spaine did cause to be laden and putt on board his said shipp the Goulden
falcon then being at or neere Mallega aforesaid Twenty pipes of
[?Paroximimes] or Mallega wines, and one hundred and thirty quartells
of Mulattoes or sirrops marked with the first marke in the Margent

and eight and twenty quartells of syrrops of the second marke

in the margent, to be transported in the said shipp from Mallega for the
sole accompt and upon the sole adventure of the said Daniel Thyson
And saith, That the said Daniel Thyson was and is commonly and
generally esteemed the sole Proprietary of the said shipp, her tackle
and furniture, and goods predeposed, The premisses hee saith hee well
knoweth for that hee this deponent having as aforesaid particular
knowledge of the transactions of the producent in the quality aforesaid
did shortly after the lading and putting aboard of the said goods see and
peruse a bill of lading and invoyces or factories for the same sent by
the said ffactors over land from Mallega to and for the said producent
wherein the quantities, qualities, and designe of the said goods were
particularly expressed marked and specified as abovesaid. And
otherwise saving his subsequent deposition hee cannot depose:-/

To the third hee saith, That the arlate Daniel Thyson is at
present, and was and became a Burgher of Oostend in
or about the moneth of October 1652:- where hee then and some
moneths before lived with his wife and family, and then was and now
is a Subject of the king of Spaine, and for such commonly and
generally reputed and taken, which hee very well knoweth upon the
grounds and relation predeposed. And further cannot depose/

To the fourth hee saith hee well knoweth, That the shipp the
Golden falcon arlate departed from Middleburgh in Zeeland, bound
for Bayon in ffrance and thence for the parts in Spaine in or about the
months of March or Aprill in the yeare 1652. before any
hostility was between this Commonwealth of England, and the United
Provinces of the Netherlands, this deponent then being and living at
Campheere in Zeeland, and saith That as this deponent hath constantly
and credibly been informed, if the said shipp and goods predeposed had
arrived in any part of Zeeland, they should have been and were
designed to be sent over to the said Daniel Thyson resident at
and Burgher of Ostend for his owne accompt and benefitt. And
further hee cannot depose./

To the 5th hee saith, That the arlate Daniel Thyson was and is a
Native of Campheere in Zeeland, where hee lived till
the yeare 1651. last past, about which time hee the said producent
was utterly exiled and abdicated out of the dominions of the
States Generall of the United Netherlands, and was and is
absolutely deprived of all or any immunities, priviledges or dependance
