To the .2. hee saith he hath not any personall knowledge of the Rector or ffathers of
the Society of Jesus interrate nor any of them, nor doth know or beleive that
they use to trade in merchandizieng. but saith they hadve thir [?Proctors] and
Correspondents in Spaine and the Indies and other parts to receyve for
them and send to them such Almes and Charitable benevolences as are
by the people in those places given for and towards the augmentation of
the stock of their sayd Colledge. and saith he knoweth John da Lizaraldo
interrate and so hath done for about 14 monethes, and saw him in Company of
this Rendent and John Martinsdorp interrate att Cadiz whilest the Saint George
continued there this last voyage. and otherwise cannot depose

To the 3. he saith the sayd John da Lizaraldo is the Procurador or factor
for the sayd Colledge of the Society of Jesus in Antwerpe. and is well
assured that the sayd Lizaralda did lade the sylver now in question aswell
for the Reasons predeposed as for that he saw John Martinsdorp aforesayd
pay and discharge to the sayd Lizaraldo all such summes of moneyes as had
bene disbursed for transportation of the sayd sylver from the Indies to Cadiz
with other incident Charges, which sayd moneyes the sayd Martins dorp
was by the sayd Lizaraldoes Order to receyve againe in fflanders upon the deliverey
of the sayd sylver there.

To the .4. he saith he doth not know what Countrymen the Rector and ffathers
of the Society of Jesus are, but beleiveth they live in their owne Colledge att
Antwerpe. and sith that John da Lizaraldo is a Spaniard a Biskayner and
lives at Cadiz in the Jesuits Colledge there, and so hath done for ten yeares
and upwards as he beleiveth.
