certaine quantity of soape the freight whereof
amounted to 57 li - 6 s - 6 d and noe more as they
beleeve and some other goods And they alsoe
beleeve that the said Thomas Middleton did receive
the freight due for the said currance and soape
but not for any other goods arlate as they beleeve
but what were the perticulars or quantities of
the said goods or what the freight of them did
amount unto excepting only the freight of the said
currance and soapes which they have already in these
theire answeares declared these Rendents know
not nor were ever informed And otherwise they
nor any of them doe not nor doth beleeve the
said pretended position to be true in any parte
thereof.
To the thirteenth position of the said pretended
allegation they answeare and referr themselves
to the booke of accounts arlate which they
beleeve to be in the possession of the arlate
Thomas Middleton and to theire former answears
which they beleeve to be true and otherwise
they nor any of them doe not nor doth
beleeve the said pretended position to be true in
any part thereof.
To the fourteenth position of the said pretended
allegation they and every of them doe answeare
and beleeve that there were laden aboard the
shipp arlate at or neere Allicant arlate a
certaine quantity of salt and Oxehides, which
were transported and brought home in the
said shipp to this Port of London, and shortly
after her arrivall there these Rendents
and company did cause the said goods to be
arrested by a warrant of this Court for theire
freight due unto them for the voyage in
question
