  • Go into edit mode
  • Insert immediately after the sentence or phrase you wish to annotate the following macro:<ref>This is the footnote text</ref>
  • Replace 'This is the footnote text' with the footnote you wish to add, using the format: first name, surname, title, (place of publication, date of publication), page or folio number
  • Save the page

To the 10th pretensed position hee an=
swereth that when the arlate Brand
linge made toward the shippe the
Saint Anthony arlate the said shipp
was alone and not in Company
of any other shipp nor in veiwe
or sight of any neither did the
said Regmorter knowe what was
become of the same ut credit the
time arlate And otherwise for
his parte hee doeth not beleeve the
said position to bee true in any parte
thereof

To the eleaventh pretensed position hee
answereth and beleeveth the same
to bee true

To the 12th pretensed position hee answe
reth and beleeveth that before and
since the eight day of June last
past 1650 there hath bin and is
peace and amity betweene the
States of the Inited provinces

in all places except betweene Por

Brazill and betwixt Brasile and
