  • Replace 'This is the footnote text' with the footnote you wish to add, using the format: first name, surname, title, (place of publication, date of publication), page or folio number
  • Save the page

Transcription

To the 11th pretensed position these respon=
dents answer and every of them answe
reth and beleeveth that after such time as
these respondents had hired and taken the
arlate shippe the Jonathan and Abigall
to freight for the voyadge aforesaid the
arlate shippe the Jonathan and Abigall
did carry for the Account of these rendents
from this port of London to the Barbadoes
certaine passnigers with provisions for them
and divers other wares and merchandi
zes which being dry goods and the said
shipp being leaky and insufficient du=
reing all her outward voyadge were att
the time of the said shipps arrivall att
the Barbadoes very much wett and
damnified and that from the Barbadoes
aforesaid the said shippe went to Virginia
and there tooke in Cattell and other goods
and brought the same to the Barbadoes
and there discharged the same and then
tooke in divers goods for the Account of these
rendents att the Barbadoes and brought
the same to this porte of London and here
after a longe and tedious voyadge (occasio=
ned by the leakines and insufficiency of the
said shipp) arrived and discharged her
ladeing and that the last of the goods and
passingers put aboard the said shippe
were not discharged out of the said shipp
in this port of London untill the Tenth
day of September arlate And otherwise
they doe not beleeve the said position
to bee true in any parte thereof./
