1. To the 10th hee saith that the shipp the Sarah at the tyme of her
2. seizure was in this deponents judgment well worth seaven hundred
3. pounds sterling And the freight of her for the voyage wherein shee was
4. taken would in this deponents judgment have amonted to sixe hundred
5. pounds sterling or thereabouts And her mens wages for the sayd voyage
6. would (in this deponents judgement) have amounted to seaven hundred
7. pounds sterling at the least And as touching the value of the Rapahannack
8. for that hee was a prisoner at her seizure and was not afterwards on board
9. her hee cannot depose thereto And further was not afterwards on board
10. her hee cannot depose thereto And further hee cannot depose

11. To the 11th hee saith that the sayd Scroll after hee had soe seized the
12. Shipps the Rapahannacke and Sarah and their ladeing did alsoe seize two other
13. English shipps and their ladeings and then at Cape Lopez the sayd Scroll
14. and Company did give the Shipp Sarah to this deponent and mr Thomas
15. Thompson who was one of the Owners of her to carrie the companyes of all the
16. fower English shipps soe taken for England, but tooke out first, all her
17. provisions of virtualls, and most of her cables and Anchors and other tackle which
18. was of worth, and gave them only a few dutch beanes and two barells of leefe
19. and thirty stock fish and about five hundred weight of bread which was very badd
20. and old, and soe turned them loose at Cape Lopez to shift for themselves,
21. of all were Navies for soe long a passage and soe great a Company as all those
22. fower conisgned companyes were, they put in at the Island of XXX XXX XXX ˹St Thomas˺
23. about threescore leagues from Cape Lopez. and there the sayd Thompson
24. tracked a way the shipp Sarah for an other smaller shipp XXXX and
25. for provisions to store them for their journey, and some small quantitie of
26. money and goods, wherewith they made a shifts to gett to the Barbadoes where
27. this deponent and others gott passage for England, which if they had not done
28. this deponent saith they might have perished for want of victualls (that X
29. given them by the dutch being little and very badd) And further hee
30. cannot depose.

31. To the 12th hee saith hee cannot depose otherwise then that hee beleeveth
32. the Owner of the Rapahannack and her Master and Mariners were very
33. much damnified by meanes of the seizure.

34. To the 13th hee saith that the arlate Beane and Company by
35. reason of the losse of the shipp the Sarah and her freight have (in
36. this deponents judgment and estimate) suffered losse and dammage to
37. the summe of thirteene hundred pounds sterling at the least And the sayd
38. LLewellin and company XX XXXXX by losse of the Negroes ˹Elephants teeth˺ and
39. other goods on board her for his Accompt have in this deponents judgment
40. and estimate suffered eight thousand pounds sterling losse and dammage And
41. And saith this deponent being Master XX and Supracargo for his part
42. suffered losse and dammage in the losse of her eight Negroes Elephants teeth and other
43. goods XX ˹and of laXX˺ bookes cloathes and instruments the summe of fowerteen hundred
44. pounds sterling And that the Company of the sayd shipp by losse of their
45. wages cloathes books sea instruments and private Adventures were in this
46. deponents judgment and estimate damnified the summe of twelvve hundred
47. pounds of like money And further hee cannot depose.
