Thomas Sherwill against the shipp the ffrancis of}
Sunderland (whereof John dobbs was Master) and}
against Sampson Nicholson comming in for his interest}
and against all others et cetera ffrancklin}
Examined upon a libell given in and admitted
on the part and behalfe of the sayd Thomas Sherwill
Rp.
Robert Walpoole of the parish of Saint Thomas the Apostle
London Scrivener aged 54 yeares or thereabouts a wittnes
sworne and examined saith and deposeth as followeth videlicet
To the first second third and fowerth articles of the sayd libell and
to the writeing in parchment in the sayd 4th article mentioned and beginning
and ending as in the sayd articles is deduced hee saith that the arlate henry
Simpson in the moneth of december 1653 was then commonly reputed
the lawfull and sole Owner and Proprietor of the shipp the ffrancis of
Sunderland arlate
