Evidence from High Court of Admiralty
Thirty-five year old Thomas Chaplain deposed on April 18th 1657 in the High Court of Admiralty. He was examined on interrogatories "On the behalfe of Thomas Abrahall of London Merchant concerning a losse on the ship William and Henry of London. in a busines of assurance".[1]
